Kevin Parke, Indirect Procurement Director, Supply Chain of a major international beverage manufacturer, is taking on an awe-inspiring ambition: to complete 7 marathons in the 7 territories in which they operate in a week......that’s running 182 miles – or 293 km – in just one week plus travelling through North West Europe and USA !
Kevin's challenge is built on the back of his company's Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability commitment, one fundamental element of which is to promote Active Healthy Living.....which Kevin is clearly taking this to heart and pushing it to the extreme!
Kevin has already run many marathons but with the Olympics now less than a year away, he wanted to achieve his own personal best by completing 7 marathons in a row, while also raising money for a great cause: children’s charity Kidscape.

Kidscape is committed to keeping children safe from abuse. Kidscape is the first charity in the UK established specifically to prevent bullying and child sexual abuse. Kidscape believes that protecting children from harm is key.
Kidscape works UK-wide to provide individuals and organisations with practical skills and resources necessary to keep children safe from harm. The Kidscape staff equips vulnerable children with practical non-threatening knowledge and skills in how to keep themselves safe and reduce the likelihood of future harm

Kevin asked First Ascent and Beaufort Performance Management to help coordinate and project manage the 7 Marathons Challenge and I was delighted to be a part of this worthwhile and challenging event. This Blog will be updated with my story of what is involved in putting on an event like this and I hope that it will encourage people to contribute to Kevin's fundraising activity.
